Special Exhibition : Praying the Hours
Art and music for Morning, Midday, Vespers, and Compline
With this Special Exhibition, ECVA creates a gift of inspirational art, poetry, scripture and music for private devotion, Centering Prayer, parish groups and guilds, for personal and group meditation.
Artists are encouraged to submit works that reflect one of the hours of prayer - Morning, Midday, Vespers, and Compline. Artists are asked to include one word that can be used as a verbal cue for meditation, such as revelation, silence, surrender, bless, epiphany, mystery, still point, mercy, worship, or others.
Submissions: Up to 3 works per artist, $20 entry fee
